Aligned with the administration’s vision of safer roads and more disciplined road users, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Bicol rolled out a series of free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) seminars and outreach activities across the region this June.
The activities were carried out under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., with the support of Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II. LTO Bicol Regional Director Allan Castillejos and Assistant Regional Director Vincent Nato led the implementation of these programs across the region.
On June 4-5, 2025, the LTO Irosin District Office conducted a 15-hour free TDC for qualified student permit applicants, complemented by an outreach activity that included smoke emissions testing in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.
In Camarines Sur, the LTO Pamplona District Office offered another round of free TDC seminars on June 7-8, 2025 through its Drivers Education Center, giving residents convenient access to essential driver education. LTO Ragay District Office also conducted its free TDC on June 4-5, 2025 under its Driver’s Education Center.
Meanwhile, in Camarines Norte, the LTO Labo District Office conducted a Road Safety Seminar for Barangay Police/Tanods from the municipality of Jose Panganiban on June 6-7, 2025. The seminar focused on traffic regulations, defensive driving, and the role of community enforcers in ensuring public safety.
These initiatives form part of LTO Bicol’s continuing efforts to educate and empower drivers and road users with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to create a culture of road safety in the region.
