Consistent in taking proactive steps to prevent further flooding incidents, the City Government of Iriga, through the team from the City Engineer’s Office led by Engr. Basilio Orbon conducted another desilting and water-impounding activity today, August 22, 2025, in Brgy. Perpetual Help, Iriga City.
The continuing desilting and water impounding in identified barangays are an integral part of the regular upkeep of the city’s waterways, under the directives of City Mayor Wilfredo Rex C. Oliva, together with the City Engineer- Engr. Eddie M. Belmonte, proving the commitment of the local government to ensuring the strict and consistent implementation of flood mitigation measures.
The City Government of Iriga, under the Arriba Iriga administration, assures Irigueños of its massive efforts in the regular monitoring of the city’s waterways, and the implementation of programs and activities that will further minimize flooding incidents, especially during the rainy season.
