The City Treasurerβs Office took the lead in todayβs flag-raising ceremony held at the Iriga City Hall Grounds, closing the month of June with reflection, gratitude, and a sense of renewal. Under the leadership of City Treasurer Segundina V. Egipto, the program highlighted the cityβs commitment to fiscal responsibility and service integrityβan apt note as Iriga transitions into a new cycle of local leadership.
During the ceremony, Mayor Rex C. Oliva delivered a message marking a pivotal moment in the cityβs political calendar. He acknowledged the significance of June 30 as the conclusion of the term of office for current elected officials, officially ending at 12 noon today. In accordance with the law, he added that the new term for those elected during the May 12, 2025 national and local elections begins immediately thereafter.
The mayor underscored the value of democratic continuity and called on all government workers and officials to carry forward the momentum of progress and the trust of the people.
City officials, department heads, and employees stood together in unity, symbolizing the cityβs collective commitment to good governance, accountability, and an even stronger Iriga in the years ahead.
