The City Government of Iriga, through the City Mayorโs Office, hosted this weekโs Flag Ceremony held at the City Hall grounds. The event featured several key highlights celebrating public service, excellence in sports, journalism, and education.
Following the regular flag-raising rituals, the City formally welcomed the new Officer-in-Charge of the Iriga City Police, PLtCol Jeric Don P Sadia, as he was introduced to local officials and employees.
Mayor Rex C. Oliva, together with Vice Mayor Edsel S. Dimaiwat and City Councilors Rodolfo Jeff B. Tino, Leo Joshua Marcel O. Caayao, Katherine Dominique C. Lagrimas, Dandreb N. Abonite, Melnan R. Murallo-Asanza, and IPMR Margarita B. Cabria, led the awarding of cash incentives to the winners of the 2025 Palarong Pambansa:

Each of the recognized schools received Smart TVs as instructional tools to enhance literacy and numeracy programs.
In addition, Mayor Rex announced that qualified City Government employees will receive their Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) amounting to 65% of their monthly salary, provided they have submitted all required documents and met the necessary performance targets.
As the ceremony came to a close, Mayor Rex extended his gratitude to all awardees, employees, and partners in service, emphasizing the City Government’s unwavering commitment to recognizing excellence, encouraging youth achievement, and promoting dedicated public service in Iriga City.
