The Philippine National Police Bicol, together with various government agencies, continues its commitment toward stronger community trust and enhanced cooperation to uphold safety and security among Filipinos.
In the culminating activity on Friday, August 1, Napolcom Regional Office 5 Regional Director Manuel Pontalan encouraged the public to support the government in achieving peace and order while sharing its role as watchdogs against crime elements.
Atty. Joan Elizabeth M. Lorenzano-Aquende, the president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Albay chapter and the guest of honor, emphasized the importance of partnership, communication, and shared responsibility of various sectors to cultivate safer and more resilient communities.
Having received the best police provincial office in Bicol, PCol Elmer Rioga Cereno, the provincial director of the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office, said in a speech, the value of making efforts to get closer to the grassroots areas will create a wider engagement and deeper coordination with them in community-building.
The PCRM is being celebrated every month of July under the Presidential Proclamation No. 764, signed on January 24, 2005.
