A total of forty-three PNP personnel are set to undergo a five-day Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) training, which officially commenced today, April 7, 2025, at Villa Acosta Resort, San Isidro, Sto. Domingo, Albay. The opening ceremony was graced by COMMODORE IVAN E ROLDAN, Commander of the Coast Guard District Bicol as the guest of Honor and Speaker.
The training, facilitated by the Coast Guard District Bicol, is designed to enhance the skills and preparedness of PNP personnel in responding to water-related emergencies. The program covers critical aspects such as search and rescue operations, victim retrieval, and water survival techniques.
This initiative plays a vital role in strengthening the unit’s emergency response capabilities, particularly in disaster-prone areas frequently affected by typhoons, floods, and other natural calamities.
