Iriga: DENR Bicol holds 2024 1st Quarter Regional ManCon

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol has set the ground for an intensified implementation of its environmental plans and programs following the 1st Quarter Management Conference (ManCon) for Calendar Year (CY) 2024 held at The Blu Hotel, Tabaco City.

In his opening message, the DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations and Environment, Atty. Juan Miguel T. Cuna emphasizes the importance for DENR Bicol to maintain its determination and passion for excellent stewardship and environmental values.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tabaco City headed by Mayor Cielo Krisel Lagman-Luistro, warmly welcomed the key officials and personnel of DENR Bicol and pledged full support in all its programs, activities, and projects aimed at protecting the environment. Mayor Luistro assured that the partnership between the Department and the LGU of Tabaco City would always remain strong.

The ManCon hosted by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau V led by Engr. Guillermo A. Molina, Jr., IV was participated in by the Regional Directors from Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), Assistant Regional Directors (ARDs), Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officers (PENROs), Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers (CENROs), and Regional and Field Office Division Chiefs.

Furthermore, the DENR Bicol headed by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr., stressed the aim to set direction and priorities for CY 2024. “As we engage in discussions, share insights, and forge new policies over the course of this conference, let us always remember the immense responsibility that comes with leadership and management. Everything we have done and will continue to do has an immense impact on our environment today and for the generations to come,” RED Milla added.
