A comprehensive training on the Government Procurement Reform Act (RA 9184) and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) was conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol on November 20-21, 2023 at Hotel Iñigo, Legazpi City.
The training aimed to equip DENR Bicol personnel with an understanding of the procurement processes governed by RA 9184. This legislative framework ensures adherence to ethical standards, competitive bidding, and accountability in government procurement.
Assistant Regional Director for Management Services (ARD-MS) Grace L. Cariño emphasized the importance of the training. “We believe that a well-informed team is pivotal to effective implementation and compliance with the Government Procurement Reform Act. This training empowers our employees to navigate the complexities of procurement procedures while upholding the principles of fairness, competitiveness, and value for money,” said ARD Cariño.
