CPDO’s maiden participation in the 2025 Regional Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Convention and Data Festival earned handsome dividends.
The two-day event, organized by PSA Bicol in partnership with Bicol University, took place at the BU Student Union Center and attracted hundreds of participants from national government agencies, local governments, academic institutions and other stakeholders. On Day 1, Wilfredo Briñas Prilles Jr. presented Naga City Government’s pioneering Voluntary Local Review (VLR) of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators, and how it informs the People’s Budgeting process put in place by City Ordinance No. 2017-072.
On Day 2, during the announcement of winners, CPDO Naga took home the following honors: 1st place – StatisTikTok Making Contest https://www.facebook.com/reel/3296401863840485
2nd place – StatShots Telling Stories through Data and Lenses (James Nathaniel Refugio)
3nd place – Report it Right: The Data Reporting Contest (James Nathaniel Refugio) 1st place – Best Audio-Visual Presentation https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CsMEhFxau/
People’s Choice Award – Audio-Visual Presentation Contest, and
2025 CBMS Gawad Galing Lokal, the event’s top prize.
Arthur Victor Badiola (Team ReadyStatGo) and Norman Paul Posugac (Team Agile), both of CPDO Naga, also won first and second during the Family Feud-style PSA Survey Says contest.
Because of these feats, Naga, together with Mandaon, Masbate will represent Bicol in the 2025 National CBMS Convention and Data Festival on September 30, 2025 at The Manila Hotel.
