Iriga: Cong. Migz, Mayor Rex lead distribution of TESDA STEP training allownace to 130 beneficiaries

A total of 130 beneficiaries from the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) received their training allowance on March 1, 2024, at the ICT Building in Sta. Cruz Sur, Iriga City.

The program was made possible through the collaborative effort of Cong. Migz Villafuerte, Gov. Luigi Villafuerte, and Mayor Rex Oliva. It was initiated to increase employability and productivity by providing skills and training opportunities throughout Rinconada. Beneficiaries of the program receive free short-term training in entrepreneurial, self-employment, and service-oriented activities.

The beneficiaries and courses offered were:

STEP is a community-based training program that aims to address the specific skills needs of communities, particularly in promoting employment through entrepreneurial, self-employment, and service-oriented activities.
