Iriga City has once again proven its commitment to digital transformation and economic development, as it was honored as one of the 19 Digital Cities at the Digital Cities Awards 2024 last night at the Nustar Hotel in Kawit Island, Cebu City, recognizing Iriga City as a leading hub for IT-BPM (Business Processing Management) investment.
Mayor Rex Oliva received the award on behalf of Iriga City, which has been consistently recognized for its business-friendly environment and dedication to advancing trade and industry.
The Digital Cities Awards acknowledges cities that have made significant strides in becoming viable hubs for IT-BPM investment and demonstrating a strong commitment to digital transformation.
Mayor Rex who is one of the speakers during the event, shared Iriga City’s accomplishments and discussed best practices, offering invaluable insights for the development of the IT-BPM industry.
In his speech, Mayor Oliva shared Iriga City’s roadmap for ICT investments and development, highlighting the city’s unique strengths and opportunities. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in Iriga City,” Mayor Oliva said. “Our strategic investments in infrastructure, capacity-building initiatives, and fostering a collaborative environment have positioned Iriga City as a prime location for ICT and BPO enterprises.”
