Iriga City Development Council (CDC) approves Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) and supplemental AIP for the purchase of motor vehicles

The Iriga City Development Council (CDC) passed on today, December 5, a resolution approving the city government Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) and supplemental budget for motor vehicles during the CDC meeting.

Engr. Cynthia Audal, head of the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator, presented the executive summary of the FLUP after being presented to the stakeholders and incorporated their remarks to the plan.

FLUP is a participatory process of allocating forests and forestland as natural resources asset by the government under appropriate management, tenure arrangement and eventually putting these assets according to their best uses in order to harmonize uses of forest lands. This is one of those mandatory plans that needs to be submitted to DENR.

Aside from the FLUP, the CDC also approved the resolution and endorsed the Supplemental AIP for the purchase of four motor vehicles such as two (2) pick up for Office of the Engineer, Travis for Office of the City Agriculturist and service vehicle for the Office of the City Mayor.

According to Mayor Rex, with the purchase of the service vehicles, there will be efficient and effective delivery of public service and it will facilitate mobility for inspection. This will also boost employees’ job satisfaction because of the convenient transportation options.

Upon approval of the FLUP and motor vehicle budget, the CDC is now able to recommend the plan’s adoption to the Sangguniang Panlungsod where it undergo committee hearing.
