The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through its Provincial Health Office Cam Sur (PHO), joined the LAB for ALL Caravan held at the Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium in Sorsogon City, on July 18, 2024.
Equipped with its state-of-the-art facilities such as the Eye Clinic on Wheels, Women’s Wellness on Wheels, and Dental Clinic on Wheels, along with its healthcare workers, the PHO brought CamSur’s Healthcare-on-the-Go Program in Sorsogon to cater to the beneficiaries of the caravan.
Among the medical services offered by the PHO CamSur are free medical, dental, and optical consultation, prenatal checkups, tooth extraction, eyeglasses dispensing, refraction, visual acuity, and keratometry tests, and laboratory diagnostic tests including CBC, urinalysis, random blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid test, 12LECG, X-ray, and ultrasound.
The LAB for ALL, which stands for Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat ng Bagong Pilipinas, is an initiative of the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines, Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, that aims to make healthcare services more accessible to Filipinos by holding nationwide caravans that offer free consultation, health screening and assessment, laboratory tests, and medicines as well as other services from various government agencies.
With its continuous prioritization of the health sector, the Provincial Government of CamSur, under Gov Luigi Villafuerte, will remain committed to its endeavor to bring free medical services closer to the people.
