The spirit of service and new beginnings took center stage as Pantawid Pamilya Day 2026 opened on September 14 at the Iriga City Sports Complex, City Hall Compound, Santa Cruz Sur, Iriga City. Carrying the theme, “Labinlimang Taon ng Pagbibigay-Liwanag sa Pangarap, Pagtatataya, Pagbabago, at Pagtataguyod — Para sa Pamilyang Irigueño,” the celebration brought together 4Ps families, government offices, partner agencies, and stakeholders in marking 15 years of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. The morning’s Serbisyo Caravan brought essential government services closer to beneficiaries, with participating offices including the Department of Agriculture, City Agriculture Office, City Health Office, Local Civil Registrar, Public Employment Service Office, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Persons with Disability Affairs Office, and Development Bank of the Philippines.
In the afternoon, the spotlight shifted to Pugay Tagumpay, a recognition activity honoring families who reached another milestone after completing their participation in the 4Ps program. A key highlight was the ceremonial turnover of 238 graduated Pantawid Pamilya households to the Local Government Unit of Iriga, recognizing their completion of the program while marking the beginning of a new chapter toward sustaining their gains through continued community and government support. Stakeholders and partner agencies were likewise recognized for their continued collaboration in delivering programs and services to 4Ps families.
Led by the Federation of 4Ps Parent Leaders in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the City Social Welfare and Development Office, and the Local Government Unit of Iriga under the leadership of Mayor Wilfredo Rex C. Oliva, the first day of Pantawid Pamilya Day highlighted the value of bringing services directly to families while celebrating their progress. More than a commemoration of 15 years, the activity served as a reminder that every milestone becomes meaningful when families are empowered to move forward toward greater independence, opportunity, and a more hopeful future.
