Iriga: Bicol Enterprises Shine at 2025 Productivity Olympics

    Bicol once again proved its strength in productivity and excellence as three regional representatives proudly raised the banner of the region during the 2025 Productivity Olympics National Awarding held on October 1, 2025 at Seda Hotel, BGC.

    The awarding ceremony recognized the best micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMES) nationwide that have demonstrated outstanding productivity practices in their respective industries.

    Bicol’s winners include:

    Muravah Foundation – National Winner, Agribusiness – Medium Category

    Chef Connie’s Cafė and Restaurant and Catering Services – National Winner, Service- Small Category

    Camote Creat- National Finalist, Industry – Medium Category DOLE Bicol Regional Director Imelda Gatinao of RTWPB Bicol expressed immense pride in the achievements of the region’s representatives.

    “For many years, Bicol has always been competitive in the Productivity Olympics. This year’s results once again affirm that our enterprises have the resilience, ingenuity, and commitment to excellence that make them stand out on the national stage. We are truly proud of how they showcase the productivity spirit of the Bicolano people.”

    Ms. Lorelyn Bañas of Muravah Foundation, who accepted the award, emphasized the importance of teamwork in their success.

    “This recognition is not just for Muravah, but for all the communities we work with. Our journey has been anchored on sustainability and collective growth, and we dedicate this award to every farmer and partner who walked with us.”

    Ms. Concepcion Condeño, owner of Chef Connie’s Café and Restaurant and Catering Services, also shared her gratitude.

    “From our humble beginnings to now being a national winner, this is a testament that passion, hard work, and consistency in providing excellent service truly pay off. This award inspires us to continue delivering not just food, but experiences that bring people together.”

    Meanwhile, Mr. Nolan Belaro, representing Camote Creations Farmers and Entrepreneurs Multi-purpose Cooperative, expressed pride in reaching the national finals.

    “Being a finalist already means a lot to us. It is proof that even small cooperatives like ours can make an impact when we put innovation and productivity at the center of what we do. We will continue to strive to do better for our farmers and our community.” The Productivity Olympics, spearheaded by the National Wages and Productivity Commission and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) is a biennial competition that recognizes enterprises with exemplary productivity practices contributing to national development.

    With these achievements, RTWPB Bicol once again demonstrates that the region remains a stronghold of productivity champions, capable of competing and excelling at the national level.
