Twenty-five (25) officers of the 565th Engineer Construction “Bicol Builders” Battalion, 51st Brigade, Philippine Army (PA) completed the five-day High Angle Rope Rescue Training (RRT) conducted by EDMERO CamSur, through its Training Unit and Public Safety Unit, last March 4-8, 2024 at the Evacuation Center, Capitol Complex, Pili.
During the 5-day training, the Batch 01-2024 of the 565th ECB learned the utilization of rope rescue tools and accessories, proper handling of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), rope care and maintenance protocols, basic knot tying, anchoring techniques, mechanical advantage and pulley system operation, basic rappelling skills, ascending and descending techniques, rescue pick-off procedures, low-angle and high-angle rescue methods, and high line rescue procedures.
