Some forty-nine (49) individuals took their Oath of Office as newly appointed and promoted employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol today, August 27, 2024 at the DENR V Multipurpose Hall, Regional Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City.
The list of vacant positions was made available to the public from July 10 to 19, 2024, wherein eight hundred fourteen (814) individuals expressed interest and submitted their application for the fifty (50) vacancies in the DENR regional and field offices.
Applicants who successfully passed the initial screening by the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) led by OIC, Assistant Regional Director for Management Services (ARD-MS) Ronnel B. Astor underwent a rigorous selection process, including online examinations and interviews.
The Oath of Office was administered by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr. and witnessed by OIC, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services (ARD-TS) Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop, OIC, ARD for Special Concerns (ARD-SC) Adona P. San Diego, and ARD Astor, including all Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers in the region.
RED Milla, in his message, congratulated all the newly appointed and promoted personnel of the Office. “It is with profound honor to stand before you today as we celebrate a significant milestone in the career of our 49 appointees in the Office. This day is not only a personal achievement, but a collective triumph for DENR Bicol,” he said.
“As you take your oath, remember that this is not just a simple commitment. This signifies your dedication to a mission that extends far beyond yourselves. You are stepping into roles of great responsibility, and with that comes the opportunity to make a profound difference,” RED Milla added, reminding them of the new responsibilities that come with their appointments.
The ceremony was held following the issuance of promotions and appointments in accordance with the Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA) and the Merit Selection and Promotion Plan (MSPP).
