Love was in the air at Sta. Elena Elementary School last June 6, 2025 as twenty-even (27) couples officially tied the knot during the much-awaited 𝘒𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 mass wedding ceremony.
Officiated by City Mayor Rex C. Oliva, the event was a testament to the city’s commitment to strengthening family foundations and promoting legal unions among its constituents. The ceremony was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Local Civil Registry Office, led by City Civil Registrar Ma. Nancy R. Occiano and her hardworking staff.
As a heartfelt gesture of support, the city government gifted each newlywed couple with ₱1,000 in cash, a sack of rice, and a wedding cake, marking the beginning of their new journey together. The celebration was further highlighted by a festive feast, allowing the couples and their families to share in joy, laughter, and a true sense of community spirit.
The 𝘒𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 not only underscored the importance of legal marriage but also reflected Iriga City’s ongoing mission to uplift the lives of its people through inclusive and meaningful programs.
