Legazpi City –ย  The Pantao Port Technical Working Group (TWG) is focused on expediting the requirements for the Cargo Handling Compliance Report (CHCR), which is essential for the official operation of Pantao Port for both passenger and cargo services.

According to Arlene M. Sapo, Terminal Port Supervisor at Pantao Port, various requirements must be submitted to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) to operate cargo handling services.

“To operate cargo handling, there are specific requirements from the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) that need to be submitted to the PPA. The port is capable of handling both cargo and passenger traffic, but our current focus is on cargo handling,” said Sapo.

To meet these goals, TWG members are collaborating closely to complete the necessary documentation for an efficient cargo handling system.

This update was shared during the recent meeting of the Pantao Port TWG, which focused on discussing the portโ€™s management, operations, development, and maintenance.
