Intensity Four Earthquake Felt In Surigao City Early Dawn

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake was felt in Surigao City 1:24AM today March 21, 2020

“I was sleeping and suddenly awakened by the quick shaking of the ground,” a local resident told RPNNews this morning.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS reported in their bulletin that the earthquake’s epicenter was located by their instruments at 7 kilometers Northeast of Malimono, Surigao del Norte or at coordinates 9.67°North, 125.44°East. Its depth was 11 kilometers and tectonic in origin. (RPN DXKS)
