National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 deputy chief implementer and testing czar Vicencio “Vince” Dizon said the government will be issuing guidelines for the mass vaccination of economic frontliners or those in the A4 category next month.

“This will not only cover the private sector but also the national government frontliners and various agencies of the government,” Dizon said in an online public address.

“We will try to make it as simply as possible so that companies will face no difficulty in having their workers vaccinated,” he added.

In an interview with PTV, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Undersecretaty Rosemarie G. Edillon disclosed they will be posting the list of subcategories of workers, who will qualify for the government Covid-19 inoculation drive.

She said qualified workers must register with the local government unit (LGU), where they work and present a “certificate of A4 Eligibility” to avail of the free vaccine.

“This is very simple. They will just need a letterhead stating they are a frontliner and they belong to subgroup[ A4] classification, and then the head of their HR (human resources) or whoever is the signing authority,” Edillon said.

Chief implementer of the government’s national policy on Covid-19 Carlito G. Galvez Jr. said they hope to start the mass vaccination of those in the A4 category by June with the arrival of over 10 million Covid-19 vaccines.

Currently, only around 9,147 economic frontliners nationwide were vaccinated  during the government’s “ceremonial” inoculation drive to their sector.
