Governor Francisco Matugas announced this morning that there is no lock down in Siargao or even in Surigao del Norte.
He advised the public to keep calm and do not panic. No person under investigation from our province and the 38 years old male patient now admitted at Caraga Regional is from Agusan del Norte and not from Surigao City. He is now undergoing series of tests and will be sent to Reasearch Institute for Tropical Medicine to determine if he is COVID-19 positive or not.
He was admitted yesterday in isolation at Caraga Regional Hospital after complaining of nasal congestion and sore throat but not yet positive of COVID-19. He has no fever according to Dr. Cheryl Gotinga, OIC – Medical Center Chief I of Caraga Regional Hospital.
The patient had a history of travel from Hongkong and arrived in the Philippines last March 3, 2020 with no symptoms of COVID-19.
