Globe Telecom Inc. on Wednesday introduced a new business unit that will help telecommunications providers accelerate their fiber rollouts nationwide.

Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), which is the newest subsidiary of Asticom Technology Inc., will provide “end-to-end services and industry-specific solutions to telco companies, towers, and infrastructure and technology, including construction, building, installation, and maintenance services.”

“We are on a mission to accelerate the Philippines into a connected nation, using innovative, leading-edge technologies and world-class local expertise,” Marc Kerveillant, General Manager of FINSI, said.  The new company operates with a license from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board. He said FINSI is banking on the demand from local telcos in fiber deployment due to the accelerated digital adoption nationwide.

Globe, for instance, has already deployed one million fiber to the homes this year ahead of schedule.

“In line with our mother company’s vision of creating a digital-first economy, we aim to help the country reach greater connectivity by being the first-ever homegrown engineering services provider that will support major telcos in the country in building their fiber infrastructure,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom Group.

Asticom is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe.
