A former Sulu Mayor was arrested by combined police personnel of CIDG, 904th Company of RMFB9 and Zamboanga City Police Office in a joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy. Tetuan, Zamboanga City at 1:00 PM of December 3, 2020.
Arrested was Abdulsali Kangiluhan Asmadun, former mayor of Lugus, Sulu, married, 66 years old, male, and a resident of Don Alfaro St. Brgy. Tetuan, Zamboanga City.
He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of sec. 52 (g) of RA 8291 (25 counts) docketed under Criminal Case Nos. sb-20-crm-0044 to sb-20-crm0067 issued by Hon. Oscar C Herrera, Jr. Chairperson, Second Division, Sandiganbayan, Quezon City dated November 20, 2020 with a recommended bail bond of ₱ 10,000.00 for each case.
He is now under the temporary custody of CIDG for proper disposition.
