Former governor Sol Forcadilla-Matugas filed her certificate of candidacy as mayor of General Luna, Siargao island, Surigao del Norte with her running mate as vice mayor Dr. Romina Rusillon-Sajulga and the complete line up for municipal councilors last October 03, 2021.
Her line up for the municipal councilors are:
- Veronico “Vicvic” Galela Solloso (incumbent Vice Mayor)
- John Christopher “Bingle” Consistente Silvosa
- Enrico Jace “Eric” Luperte Rusillon
- Fernando “Yokyok” Gloria Tokong
- Arnel “Tansoy” Agudo Figuron
- Van Harold Lanutan Dolera
- Efren Solloso Platil
- Charlito Betansus Plaza
The former Governor was also accompanied by her husband Governor Francisco T. Matugas and son Congressman Bingo Matugas of the 1st District of Surigao del Norte.
