Following the World Health Organization (WHO) and the University of the Philippines – National Poison Management and Control Center advise that spraying and misting with disinfectants does more harm than good, the DOH recommends to avoid this practice.
To kill the virus, objects and surfaces have to be wiped directly with 0.5% sodium hypochlorite/ bleach solution (1:10 solution).
DOH will continue to issue new recommendations based on best-available evidence in this dynamic COVID-19 Health Situation.
