The local government has issued an executive order banning the unauthorized flying of drones, bringing backpacks, wearing of jackets or chalecos, bull caps as among the prohibited use at Fort Pilar Shrine starting October 3 to 12.
City Mayor Maria Isabel Climaco-Salazar issued the Executive Order 601-2020 over the weekend as one of the security measure the city is taking this years Hermosa Festival and religious activity for the forthcoming Fiesta.
In the executive order, the mayor ban the parking of motorcycles, four-wheeled vehicles, unauthorized flying of drones, bringing of backpacks, wearing of ballcaps/fedora hats, waistcoats/chalecos and hooded or non-hooded jackets at the Fort Pilar Shrine from Oct. 3 to 12 are considered prohibited.
Recall the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2020 kicked off last Thursday, October 1. Despite most of the activities are virtual, devotees at the Fort Pilar Shrine are controlled.
The Mayor, aside from the said prohibition, she is also calls for the strict observance of Covid-19 protocols.
On the other hand, Regional Police Spokesman Police Capt. Edwin Duco also said, this year’s Zamboanga Hermosa Festival, augmentation of police personnel in areas of events have lessened due to the limited and most conduct of activities are virtual.
“Hindi kagaya noong mga nakaraang taon, ang deployment natin at konti lang. Noon pati police trainees na dedeploy,” Duco concluded. (OIC Roland Ramos, RPN DXXX Zamboanga)
