The long-awaited launch of the first-ever Farmer’s Market at Luneta Park took place today, August 16, 2023, marking a big moment for our local producers.
The City Government of Surigao through the City Agriculture Office, led by Acting City Agriculturist Amelita Dela Cerna, joined forces with the City Tourism Office, headed by Vaya Angelica Burdas, for a special Ribbon Cutting at Luneta Park to officially kick off the Farmer’s Market.
You can now explore 20 stalls offering a variety of fresh fruits and veggies, each with something unique to offer. The market is open from 3:00 AM to 3:00 PM every day until September 15, 2023.
As you browse the lively stalls, we invite everyone to check out the fresh, local produce available at affordable prices. This market is not only about healthy food but also supporting our local farmers.
