Mayor John Dalipe together with the security sector, Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) President Abram Eustaquio and other concerned agencies Saturday conducts security walk-through at the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex (JEMSC) in Baliwasan in line with the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival Opening Salvo set Sunday, October 1.
The group likewise went over the physical preparations and set-up as well as the safety protocols established in the venue, where thousands of people are expected to flock for the kick-off ceremony that will coincide with with UZ’s 75th Founding Anniversary.
Prior to the security walk-through, the mayor also convened a meeting of the security sector at the ZCPO to discuss final details for the Hermosa Festival opening salvo Sunday, Oct. 1 and the succeeding activities until Oct. 15.
On Saturday morning (Sept. 29), the security sector conducted a simulation exercise in the periphery of the JEMSC as part of the security measures for the grand event that is held in honor of the Nuestra Senora La Virgen del Pilar, the city’s patron saint.
Present during the walk-through activity were City Police Director Col Alexander Lorenzo, Joint Task Force Zamboanga Chief Col. Randolph Rojas, MBLT 11 Commandant LtCol Clifford Basco, EA IV Gio Perez and Roy Venus of the CMO among others.
