Arrested CPP-NPA-NDF Spokesperson Fr. Frank Fernandez urged to order Negros rebels to stop killings
Former priest and CPP-NPA-NDF Spokesperson Frank Fernandez is being urged to call on communist rebels in Negros to stop killing people in the island.
Fernandez was arrested in Laguna province on Sunday, according to the Philippine Army that also revealed the “big help” of Moises Padilla Mayor Magdaleno “Magsie” Peña in locating and in the capture of Fernandez “in two months of search” for the rebel priest.
In a video presented to the media during a press conference in Bacolod yesterday, Peña who was ambushed by the NPAs years ago, is urging Fernandez to call on communist rebels in Negros to stop the killings, if not in the entire country. (NDB)
