Chooks-to-Go pledged to support Eumir Felix Marcial’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics journey which culminates when the Games get going from July 23 to August 8.

“As a fellow Mindanoan, I feel the struggles of our athletes in that region. We at Chooks-to-Go cannot turn a blind eye on them,” said Ronald Mascariñas , president of Bountry Agro Ventures Inc. which produces Chooks-to-Go products.

Marcial hails from Zamboanga City while Mascariñas is a native of Butuan City.

Marcial, 25, qualified for the Olympics from the 2020 Asia and Oceania Olympic Boxing Qualifiers in Amman, Jordan, in March last year along with fellow boxer Irish Magno.

Marcial turned pro in 2020 and trained at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles. He won his pro debut against American Andrew Whitaker in December also in Los Angeles.

“Of course I feel the pressure to win an Olympic gold medal. But the pressure is always there,” Marcial said. “I’m inspired not only by my family but the entire country.”

Chooks-to-Go’s support, Marcial said, will be of great help to his campaign.

“I’m glad and grateful for Chooks-to-Go’s support,” he said. “I am thankful for the trust they have in me, especially when Boss Ronald [Mascariñas] personally talked to me.”

Marcial joined the likes of basketball’s Kai Sotto, Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, Gabe Norwood and Paul Desiderio as ambassadors of the brand. Also part of Chooks-to-Go’s stable are triathlon’s Nikko Huelgas and the Manila Chooks TM team that competes in the FIBA 3×3 pro circuit.

Chooks-to-Go is also supporting regional pro leagues Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup and National Basketball League-Pilipinas, as well as semi-pro league Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
