Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ika-72 anibersaryo ng Air Force na ginanap sa Villamor Airbase, Pasay City, kahapon.
Kinilala ng pangulo ang sakripisyo ng Philippine Air Force para protektahan ang teritoryo ng bansa.
Kasabay nito, pinasalamatan din ng punong ehekutibo ang mga sundalo na patuloy na nagpapatrolya sa West Philippine Sea.
Dito iginiit ng pangulo na atin ang West Philippine Sea at ang Malampaya Gas Field sa Palawan.
Bukod dito, pinapurihan din ni Pangulong Duterte ang partisipasyon sa pagtugis sa Abu Sayyaf.
I acknowledge your unwavering commitment to your sworn duty to protect our territorial lines of defense through aerial reconnaissance and maritime patrol missions in the West Philippine Sea and of course which is really ours — the Philippine Rise.
