DSWD Field Office Caraga conducted cash assistance payout to 800 Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Listahanan-identified beneficiaries at Margarita Memorial Central Elementary School, Brgy. Luna, Surigao City.
The payout for an estimated number of 3,000 beneficiaries is scheduled for four days and expected to be concluded on June 27, following the social distancing protocol of the Government.
The DSWD regional staff, assisted by the Provincial Operations Office (POO) headed by Provincial Link Sha Honey Petillo and Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) Surigao, catered 14 out of 54 barangays in the city, as of today.
UCT is a program of the government which provides assistance to the poorest of the poor who are directly affected with the increase of prices in commodities after the implementation of Tax Reform and Inclusion Law was implemented in January 2018.
