The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday logged 11,010 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,654,450.
There were also 22,529 recoveries and 273 deaths reported.
Of the total number of infections, 4.0 percent (106,558) are active cases, 94.5 percent (2,508,387) have recovered, and 1.49 percent (39,505) have died.
Fifty-four duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 39 are recoveries.
Moreover, 162 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on October 7, 2021 but 2 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 2 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.6 percent of samples tested and 0.2 percent of positive individuals.
