
THE Department of Health (DOH) on Monday logged a total of 20,745 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,248,071.
There were 22,290 recoveries and 163 deaths.
Of the total number of cases, 8.0 percent (180,293) are active, 90.4 percent (2,032,471) have recovered, and 1.57 percent (35,307) died.
Forty-one duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 30 are recoveries and one death.
Moreover, 60 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on September 11, 2021 but five laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the five non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 1.2 percent of samples tested and 1.4 percent of positive individuals.
