DOH Caraga reported 1 new confirmed case belonging to Gigaquit. She is a 32 year old female, Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) from Dubai, whose Philippine address is in Gigaquit. She is currently asymptomatic and on strict facility quarantine in Manila.
? She HAS NOT SET FOOT in Gigaquit nor in the Caraga region IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. ?
This new case brings our total confirmed cases to 6.
NONE of the 6 cases were residing in Gigaquit at the time they were reported positive.
? There is still NO EVIDENCE OF LOCAL TRANSMISSION IN GIGAQUIT. ?
We remain to be a COVID-FREE municipality as of writing.
We have again appealed to DOH Caraga to stop tagging such cases under Gigaquit, especially those with no travel history to Gigaquit in the past 6 months. The appeal is still currently ongoing.
