Camp Col. Rafael C Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City – Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, Regional Director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 13, reported today, March 10, that after the conduct of Simulation Exercise (SimEx) for the COVID-19 Vaccination Program (BIDA BAKUNATION) held at Regional Health Service 13, the Department of Health (DOH) Caraga has certified that RHS13 is now ready to administer COVID-19 vaccine among PRO13 personnel.

Said SimEx was conducted around 9:00 AM at the RHS13 Building located beside Police Regional Office 13 Headquarters with the presence of personnel from DOH13, members of PRO13 Command Group, Regional Staff, and RHS13 personnel in preparation for the actual administration of vaccine which is set to start tomorrow, March 11.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel LEOVIGILDA B. BEDIA, Acting Chief of RHS13, administration of COVID-19 vaccine to personnel will come in four steps. Step 1 will be the “Registration” where the patient needs to scan the QR code generated from Pre-registration and fill-out the health declaration form and sign the informed consent. The patient will then proceed to step 2 which is the “Pre-vaccination Counselling and Final Consent”. Then to step 3 which is the “Screening” where the RHS13 personnel will conduct a physical examination and take the history of present illnesses of the patient. Once the patient receives clearance for the vaccination, he/she will proceed to step 4 which is the actual “Vaccination”.

After given vaccination, the patient will proceed to the observation room where he/she will stay for 30 minutes to one hour to be observed for any reactions.

Those deferred for vaccination will be coordinated with the social mobilization team for follow-up and will be provided with a possible vaccination schedule.

“I am thankful to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for giving priority to the PNP to be among the first batch to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This would give our personnel adequate protection from the virus as we perform our mandated tasks to serve and protect the country and people,” PBGEN CARAMAT, JR said.

Though not mandatory, Philippine National Police Chief, POLICE GENERAL DEBOLD M. SINAS, encourages all members of the prime law enforcement agency of the country to avail the vaccination program.
