Motor Vehicle Traffic Incident

Be informed that at about 6:40 AM of October 11, 2021, a traffic incident transpired along the national highway of Sitio Diwait, Barangay Siparok, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte, involving two (2) vehicles described as follows; VEH1-Passenger Bus of Rural Transit of Mindanao Inc. driven by Roberto Maratas Pormento, 48 years old, and a resident of Sinipay, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte; and VEH2- White Ford Pick-up driven by Arnel Antiquina Daniel, 33 years old and a resident of Camp Enrile, Malagutay, Zamboanga City. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while VEH1 was travelling from Dipolog City going to Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte and upon reaching the place of incident, the said vehicle was hit by the approaching VEH2 which was traveling out of lane from opposite direction, resulting to both vehicles incurred damages. Both vehicles are now in custody of Jose Dalman Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Found Cadaver

Be informed that at about 7:45 AM of October 11, 2021, Katipunan Municipal Police Station received a report from a concerned citizen that there was a cadaver at Barangay Daanglungsod, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte wherein the victim identified only as BALONG, of legal age, male, Filipino, medium in build, fair complexion, 5’5″ in height, believed to be mentally ill person and temporary living at the barn of Mr. Ismael Tubigon Arberolos, 47 years old, married, male, businessman, DOB- 3/23/1974, POB- Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte and resident of Purok 3-A of Barangay Daanglungsod, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte.  Initial investigation conducted by the Investigator on case – PSSG Alcazar that the victim was last seen at around 10:00 PM of October 10, 2021 by Mark Acevedo sitting on a plastic chair near his store and believed to be drunk. On the following morning of October 11, 2021 at around 5:00 AM, when Rosie Guminta Cabrera, 53 years old got outside just to turn off the lights, the latter saw the lifeless victim in prone position on the cemented right of way of her residence. The cause of death is still to be determined while waiting for the Post mortem examination conducted by Dr. Kei Rudd Piperno of RHU of Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte, the attending physician.   The cadaver of the victim now lies at Rubio Funeral Homes for proper disposition.

Campaign against Illegal Fishing

Be informed that at about 10:10 PM October 11, 2021, while personnel of Sibutad Municipal Police Station conducted seaborne patrol along the municipal Seawater of Barangay Libay, Sibutad Zamboanga del Norte and successfully intercepted Sonie Castillon, 47 years old, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Libay, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte.  Subject was caught in the act engaged in fishing by the use of illegal fishnet known as (3 Ply) which is an infraction of section 45, Art. D of Municipal Ordinance no. 007 Series of 2014, “Used of Unlicensed Fishing Gear “Trammel Net”.  Confiscated from his possession were; one paddle boat, one fine fishnet (3 ply) measuring MOL 300 meters, one wooden paddle, and one kilo more or less of assorted catch fish. Arrested suspect an the seized items were properly turned-over to Municipal Agriculture of Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte.

Arrest of Suspect for Estafa

Be informed that at about 2:30 PM of October 11, 2021, Noel Ontal Gabatan,a resident of Barangay Calubian, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, appeared to Sindangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and reported that the suspect identified as Leonilyn Arabis Jayme, 38 years old and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur offered him to invest ₱ 100,000.00 to a business with a promise of 20% commission sometime in the year 2019. However, the suspect failed to fulfill her promise and again wanted him to invest an additional amount of ₱ 60,000.00 with the same interest and they will meet at Mon’s Grill, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. The instance prompted the complainant to report to Sindangan MPS for the immediate arrest of the suspect. Immediately, personnel of Sindangan MPS immediately responded to the place relative to the report and at about 2:20 PM of same date, the suspect was arrested now under the custody of Sindangan MPS for further investigation. Further investigation disclosed, it was found out on the PNP E-Warrant System that the suspect has a pending warrant of arrest at Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) for ESTAFA docketed in criminal case number A-63554 with bail recommended of ₱ 18,000.00 issued by Judge Chad Martin Paler of MTCC, Branch 1 dated January 25, 2019. However, during the coordination with Dipolog CPS, her case was already dismissed as per order dated May 16, 2019 signed by same Judge. Subject person was released from police custody of Sindangan MPS after verification that her case was already dismissed and the abovementioned complainant is no longer interested in filing a complaint against the said suspect.
