Nagdominar ang LGU Sergio Osmeña sa Women’s Division samtang nakuha sa LGU Zamboanga del Norte ang kampeonato sa Men’s Division sa 17th Inter-Government Agency Sports o IGAS Chess Tournament nga gitapos niadtong September 15 sa Dapitan City.
Gipildi sa LGU Sergio Osmeña ang 18 ka ubang competing agencies aron makuha ang 1st Place sa Women’s Division, samtang 2nd Place ang Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital ug 3rd Place ang LGU Sibutad.
Sa Men’s Division, nakuha sa LGU Zamboanga del Norte ang 1st Place gikan sa 28 ka competing agencies. Misunod ang DepEd Dipolog sa 2nd Place ug Jose Rizal Memorial State University o JRMSU sa 3rd Place, samtang 4th Place ang DepEd Zamboanga del Norte ug nagtabla sa 5th Place ang DPWH ZN ug LGU Siocon.
Gipahigayon ang kompetisyon sa DCGEAMPC Hall ug gi-organisa sa Civil Service Commission, City Government of Dapitan ug Zamboanga del Norte Federation of Government Employees’ Union, Inc. Gipakita sa maong chess tournament ang abilidad sa mga empleyado sa gobyerno sa estratehiya, focus ug disiplina isip kabahin sa nagpadayong 17th IGAS.(JENIFFER JR. DELICA)
