Dipolog: PG-ZDN Schools Division wins big in Healthy Pilipinas Awards

Schools Division of Zamboanga del Norte for winning on the 2024 Regional Healthy Pilipinas Awards on Basic Education Institution last August 30-31, 2024 at Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City.

The winners for Healthy Schools Category are: Top 1 – Siocon Central School. Best Practices for A. Pillar 3 Social School Environment is Siocon Central School, Best practices for B. Pillar 5 Links with community is Siocon Central School. Last Mile Category, Top 1 is San Isidro Elementary School of Labason District. Last Mile Champion is Johayre Bese, Labason District. Best practices: Pillar 1 Healthy school policy San Isidro Elementary School – Ring and Sip Water. Pillar 2 Physical School Environment – San Isidro ES Labason District (Project Bantay Kalisakasan) Galos ES – Godod District (Gawaing Bayanihan) . Pillar 3 Social School Environment San Isidro ES Labason District (Project Kasalamuha) Galos ES Godod District (Pagkalinga ng Paaralan) . Pillar 4 Health Skills and Education Jolito Camatura ES – Siocon District (Kampanya para sa kalikasan) . Pillar 5 Link with Community Balubuhan ES – Rizal District (Tambayayong) San Isidro ES – Labason District (Project Kalawasan) and Pillar 6 Access to Health Care Balubuhan ES – Rizal District ( HLI hub) New Dapitan ES – Gutalac District (School care Program).

Representing the Provincial Governor Rosalina ”Nanay Nene” Jalosjos and Provincial Administrator Wilberth G. Magallanes is Ms. Anabelle G. Jalosjos, Executive Assistant for Health-Office of the Governor. She express her delight over the series of wins that according to her is a manifestation of the continued support of the Provincial Government in the health sector, considering this sector very close to the heart of Governor Jalosjos.

This years’ theme, “Sama-sama sa Bagong Pilipinas Dahil Bawat Buhay Mahalaga”, centers on the vision of the Department of Health in an inclusive healthcare services in all of the areas in the country in order to preserve and protect lives through accessible health care and healthy lifestyle.
