The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region IX through its Planning and Management Division (PMD) declares the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Zamboanga del Norte, Enforcement Division and the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Piñan as top performers for CY 2022.
The announcement was made by PMD IX Division Chief Dante R. Rojas during the conduct of the DENR IX 4th Management Conference held at the DENR IX Conference Hall in Pagadian City last December 19, 2022.
According to Rojas, the ratings were derived from accomplishments reported as of November 30, 2022.
Under the Regional Office, the Enforcement Division got first place with a rating of 125.67% and was followed by eNGP with 125% for second place and Support to Operations Technical Services in third place with 122.22% accomplishments.
For the different PENROs, PENRO Zamboanga del Norte garnered 121.41% earning them the top post and was followed by PENRO Zamboanga del Sur with 117.79% and PENRO Zamboanga Sibugay in third place with 107.39% accomplishment.
Under the CENRO category, CENRO Piñan was declared as the top CENRO with 142.50% followed by CENRO Manukan with 126.14% for 2nd place and CENRO Liloy in third place with 118.07% accomplishment.
It was noted that the rest of the CENROs in Zamboanga Peninsula garnered more than 100% in terms of their accomplishments.
