A total of 313 corn farmers and 363 farmers in Dapitan City received fuel subsidy from the Department of Agriculture.
This is to help farmers and agitators with their crude or petrol cost due to the sharp rise in price of petroleum products.
Php 3,000.00 is the fuel discount cash cards distributed to farmers registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture or RSBSA.
According to Arcelita Andaya, provincial fishery officer there are 4,331 registered fishermen in the whole province of Zamboanga del Norte of which 363 are from Dapitan mentras 457 will be subjected for validation.
In the message of 1st District Congressman Romeo Jalosjos Jr., he encouraged farmers and fishermen to continue their efforts to further develop the agricultural sector where many plans will be implemented not only here in the city if not the entire first district. Must unite and work together especially for the non stop hike in price of petroleum products.
Mr. Rad Donn L. Cedeño, regional executive director of the Department of Agriculture said Congressman Jalosjos is working to implement agricultural programs to further improve the livelihoods of the people of the first district.
So happy and thankful the 61-year-old angler Edelberto Perioperio Sr. from Barangay Bagting because according to him, the aid received in his fishing was a big help. This is how his family will grow up to be able to earn a living.
