The Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council of Dapitan City holds a Community – Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) on December 10 – 12, 2024.
Twenty-Five Dapitan Barangay health workers crafted their Barangay Disaster Preparedness Plans during the training workshop that covers disaster preparation, response, and rehabilitation. Mr. Norman M. Alegarbes, OIC of the PDRRMO underscores readiness, timely reporting and proper coordination among the barangay as a crucial system to avoid casualties during calamities. With the training, the LGUs will are equipped in determining appropriate actions with the assistance of the barangays.
DILG through its provincial field office represented by Ms. Anabela A. Jatico LGOO VII, Cluster I-Head, DILG ZDN presented topics on the role of LGUs on the Disaster Readiness along with Ms. Charity D. Serenio LGOO II, DILG ZDN. PDRRMO also extended technical experts throygh Mr. Albert G. Camay- Research and Planning Division Head Designate of PDRRMO ZDN and Mary Jane B. Tigon – Assistant Head Research and Planning Division Designate PDRRMO.(Angelica T. Obina)
