Dipolog: 138 ZSP beneficiaries now proud of lot owners thru the Handog Titulo program of DENR

The DENR IX in collaboration with the Provincial Local Government Unit of Zamboanga Sibugay and the Registry of Deeds awarded 138 Agricultural Patent to the residents of Zamboanga Sibugay as part of the agency’s Handog Titulo Program, held at the Provincial Capitol, Ipil Heights, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on February 24, 2023 during the Celebration of the 22nd Anniversary of Zamboanga Sibugay. Gracing the momentous event is Senator Francis M. Tolentino.

ZSP Governor Dulce Ann K. Hofer, together with the In-charge, Office of the Regional Executive Director and concurrent, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Forester Ronald D. Gadot and Acting Regional Director of the Register of Deeds Atty. Samrollah M. Dekire, led the awarding of Agricultural Land Titles to 138 qualified recipients from the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay, 118 from the 1st District and 20 from the 2nd District, respectively.

Present also during the activity were DENR IX Assistant Regional Director for Management Services, Dr. Dante A, Oporto, ZSP PENR Officer Edgardo P. Montojo, CENRO Imelda CENR Officer Pilarito B. Montebon, and CENRO Kabasalan CENR Officer Dennis N. Catalan.

In his message, RED Gadot expressed his utmost gratitude to the Provincial Government of Zamboanga Sibugay led by Gov. Hofer for highlighting the Handog Titulo distribution during the Special Event of the Province. He further ensures the lady governor that DENR will continue to support the Governor’s Program on a more Progressive Sibugay not only thru the Handog Titulo Program but also through other Environmental Projects citing the passage of the Olutanga Islands Protected Landscape and Seascape in the Congressional Level.

The Handog Titulo program is a joint effort of DENR, Local Government Unit, and the Register of Deeds as a commitment to fast-track the processing and disposition of land titles and strengthens the agency’s linkages with its stakeholders.
