Two (2) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Dinagat Islands – one (1) is from the Municipality of Basilisa and one (1) is from the Municipality of Tubajon. Both of them are currently asymptomatic

Both cases traveled from Surigao City. Upon arrival last November 2020, following our quarantine protocols, they have been properly isolated from the general public. They will now be transferred to the Provincial Care and Containment Center (PCCC) where they will be cared for by our doctors.

With this development, we now have thirty-seven (37) active confirmed cases in the province. This is also the first time when ALL municipalities have reported active cases.

Our health and safety protocols are still in place and continue to be enforced. As we support each other during these times, let us also pray for the speedy recovery of all our active cases and fellow Dinagatnons.
