Detainee tried to escape at DOJ seriously wounded

A detainee who was brought by the police for inquest at the Hall of Justice here tried to escape by jumping from the second floor Tuesday morning.

The detainee identified as Raul Gamas, was brought by police for inquest for the case of rape.  Witnesses at the Hall of Justice saw the detainee trying to jump over the veranda at second floor of DOJ complex.

Accordingly, Gamas tricked his guard to go to a comfort room. But later went to an open window and climbed to escape.  However due to his handcuffs he acted liked a spiderman.

 

Sensing the police and other guards were trying to get him off the veranda, he jumped and landed on a concrete pavement.

Gamas sustained head injuries and broken limbs.  He was brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for medical attention. Currently he is admitted due to some serious contusions and head injury.
