Mayor John Dalipe was conferred the Honorary Local Chief Executive of the Year for his leadership and service under the priority banner of transparency and accountability towards sustainable development.
Likewise, the City of Zamboanga was recognized as the Most Livable and Sustainable City with the Dalipe agenda of progreso, desarollo, y servicio sincero (progress, development, and sincere service).
The honors were conferred by the Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards during the awarding ceremony at the Okada Manila last Friday, June 30.
“I am humbled by the recognition and further inspired, to do more as the Father of Zamboanga City. Public service is not a one-man job. Thus, I dedicate this award to those who have contributed to this milestone. Allow me to express my gratitude to the competent and able leaders of the City of Zamboanga, our friends and mentors, and my family,” Mayor John said.
The mayor, who is also celebrating the first anniversary of his assumption as mayor of Zamboanga City today, also noted that the recognition bestowed on him and the city affirms the hard work of the city government under the Dalipe administration.
