The City Tourism Office has reminded the facilities operators being used for Meetings, Incentives, Convention, and Events (MICE) to strictly follow health protocols especially at this time of pandemic.

Sarita Sebastian Hernandez, city tourism officer told RPN DXXX, they had a recent meeting with these facility operators such as hotels.

She said they must be strict in following health and safety protocols, they must have an isolation room, and emergency team.

Aside from these, only 50 percent of the venue capacity must be used inclusive of workers and suppliers for birthdays and weddings.

Before the event, the facility operator must submit to the city tourism office their safety and sanitation plan.

For the event organizers, they must submit to the office their event plan.

Hernandez explained, this is all being done to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019.
