Cordillera Police Recovers ₱8.4-M Worth Of Marijuana

Police personnel recovered some ₱ 8.4 million worth of marijuana inside two Sports Utility Vehicles in a separate operation in Benguet and Kalinga.

Benguet law enforcers collared three suspects listed as Street Level Individual (SLI) with P6 million worth of dried marijuana plants in tubular form in a checkpoint operation at Barangay Lomon, Paykek, Kapangan in the early morning of October 4, 2021.

Police operatives identified the arrested suspects as Marry Ann Felipe Del Rosario, 22; Simiano Tadina Patingan, 36; and Jun Comot Colera, 31.

Operatives of Kapangan Municipal Police Station, while conducting checkpoint operation, flagged down an SUV and upon inspection, suspected illegal drugs were found inside the vehicle.

The incident resulted to the arrest of the three suspects and the confiscation of two sacks of suspected dried marijuana in tubular form weighing more or less 50 kilograms and a caliber .45 pistol with one magazine loaded with seven live ammunitions.
