Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – The combined operatives of Cordillera law enforcers resulted in the destruction of more than ₱ 678 million worth of fully grown marijuana plants and seedlings in the hinterland of Cordillera from September 23-27, 2021.
In the five-day marijuana eradication operations, operatives discovered 72 marijuana plantations sites in Benguet, Kalinga and Mountain Province.
In Benguet, a total of 11,850 fully grown marijuana plants and 24,780 seedlings worth ₱ 3,361,200.00 were uprooted in 30 separate marijuana plantation sites.
In Kalinga, a total of 2,241,500 fully grown marijuana plants and 1,640 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves/stalks/fruiting tops with a total value of ₱ 645,100,000.00 were also uprooted in 39 marijuana plantation sites.
While in Mountain Province, a total of 152,000 fully grown marijuana plants with a total value of ₱ 30,400,000.00 were destroyed in three marijuana plantations sites.
All uprooted marijuana plants were burned onsite by the combined operating troops of Benguet, Kalinga and Mt. Province and other Law Enforcement Agencies.
PBGEN Ronald Lee personally extends his appreciation to the operating personnel for their efforts and dedication. He also, instructed to continuously monitor the presence of marijuana plantation sites in their areas of responsibility for appropriate intervention.
